Camps and clinics

NCAA legislation limits how prospective student-athletes can engage in physical activities on ASU’s campus. One of the permissible ways prospects can participate in physical activities is during an approved institutional camp or clinic.

An institutional camp or clinic is one in which an ASU staff member owns or operates at least 50% of the camp or clinic. Even though ASU coaches own their camps, these camps are still considered institutional camps under NCAA legislation and must be operated in accordance with the current legislation from the Big 12 Conference.

Before advertising the availability of a camp or clinic at ASU, the designated sports contact should review the Sun Devil Athletics Camp Request manual.

Coaches and staff who want to work at a non-ASU camp and clinic must complete the noninstitutional camp or clinic workflow found in Teamworks’ compliance and recruiting site. This workflow must be completed and approved before a coach or staff member commits to work at the outside camp or clinic.
