Thank you for your interest in having Sparky appear at your event. Sun Devil Athletics strongly believes in the need to give back to and support the efforts of local and other Arizona communities. Therefore, Sun Devil Athletics seeks to accommodate requests for Sparky to appear at events. Further, Sun Devil Athletics seeks to balance its support of such events against its staff members' professional and personal needs and Sun Devil Athletics’s requirements under NCAA, Big 12 and Arizona State University rules and regulations.

Therefore, although Sun Devil Athletics attempts to fulfill as many requests as possible, we cannot always meet all our requests.

If you are a representative of an Arizona entity and are interested in requesting an appearance by Sparky, please review the policy below and complete the following application.

Appearance requests for Sparky must be made after fully completing the online process set forth below. Telephone and email inquiries will not be considered.

1.  Appearance requests must be made at least one month before the event date. Sun Devil Athletics will attempt to respond to Sparky requests within five business days of the request date. Confirmation of the request does not confirm the appearance. You will receive a separate notification approximately 10 days before the event if the request can be fulfilled. A request does not guarantee an appearance. All requests are subject to availability.
2. Sparky will not attend events that conflict with games, practices, meetings, class or any other institutional obligations. Any non-Sun Devil Athletics request on a football home game day will also be declined.
3. You may be asked to provide copies of all promotional materials (e.g., flyers, advertisements, website information) that will be used in connection with the event. Any photos or videos taken at the event, including Sparky, are for personal use only and cannot be used for promotional purposes.
4. Appearance location should be within a 20-mile radius of the Arizona State University Tempe campus.
5. Sparky appearances are limited to 30 minutes in duration.
6. All events are required to provide parking, a private changing room (not a bathroom) and water.
7. Sun Devil Athletics reserves the right, for any reason, to deny appearance requests.

Appearance fees:

• ASU Organization: $150
• Nonprofit Organization: $150
• Corporation: $300
• Individual: $300

Your appearance fee goes to support the mascot program at ASU and provide compensation for the participants. Fulfilled requests will be invoiced after the appearance and are payable by check or credit card. Checks are payable to Arizona State Athletics.
