Triathlon Eyeing 8th National Title in Clermont This Weekend

Clermont, FL. – Sun Devil Triathlon will compete in the 2024 Collegiate Triathlon National Championships in hopes of securing their eighth consecutive title, though it's the first time in six seasons that Tempe has not played host to the race. ASU is in Heat A and will kick off the swim portion on Friday, November 9 at 8:45 a.m. AZT and will follow with the bike and run on Saturday, November 9 at 11:30 a.m. AZT.
The seven athletes racing for the Maroon & Gold are: Naomi Ruff, Sidney Clement, Britney Brown, Zoe Mari Adam, Amber Schlebusch, Alice Alessandri, and Faith Dasso. Ruff comes off of two individual titles after claiming first place in the West Regional Qualifier and Battle in the Fort.
Fans can follow along and track this group via this live results link. There is not a live stream.
Due to the split structure of the race, Saturday will start based on swim times. The racer who finished first in the swim will start first on bikes and be followed by the student-athletes behind her. If the top racer finished seven seconds ahead of the next athlete, the second place girl will not start until seven seconds after the first racer on Sunday.
