Softball Welcomes GCU for Rare Midweek Tilt

Tuesday's game is one of two meetings with the Lopes this season

TEMPE – Sun Devil softball is back at Farrington Stadium this week for four games, starting with a Tuesday evening matchup with Grand Canyon. First pitch is scheduled for 6 p.m.

ABOUT THE SUN DEVILS
Arizona State enters the midweek contest at 15-9 on the season after going 1-2 last weekend at No. 5 Washington to begin Pac-12 action. The Sun Devils have a 14-7 record at home and they have won four games via run rule and posted three shutouts. The team is coming off a 3-1 performance last weekend at the ASU Invitational.

ASU will enter Tuesday third in the Pac-12 with a .327 batting average and second in the conference with a .538 slugging percentage. They also lead the conference with 78 extra-base hits and 51 stolen bases.

In the circle, ASU pitchers bring a 3.89 ERA and 1.56 WHIP into the week. The Sun Devils are fifth in the league with 6.04 strikeouts per seven innings with the opposition batting .289.
