CARLSBAD, Calif. - Sun Devil Women's Golf was well represented on the final day of stroke play at the NCAA Championship.
Ashley Menne secured sole possession of 18th place, while Patience Rhodes finished tied for 39th in a field of the top 156 golfers in the NCAA. Despite Arizona State being eliminated as a team yesterday, the entire Sun Devil squad was out on the course to support their teammates as they made an individual push. Menne posted a 291 (+3) through four days, earning her second-career Top-20 finish at a NCAA Championship (4th in 2021). Rhodes ends her first season of competition representing the Maroon & Gold in impressive fashion, giving ASU fans plenty to be excited about with the future of the program.
Of the nine individuals that continued playing from non-advancing teams, Menne ended the highest of any despite ranking nine out of nine heading into the round. The senior was extremely consistent in delivering a 71 (-1) in her final round as a Sun Devil, moving up 16 spots on the leaderboard. In a fitting ending to her decorated career, Menne chipped-in for birdie on the final hole to move to one-under on the day and secure her 26th career Top-20 finish. Rhodes maintained her positioning in the standings thanks to a strong end to her round, finishing even over her final 11 holes.
Patience Rhodes will be joined by Grace Summerhays, Paula Schulz-Hanssen, and Beth Coulter as well as Class of 2024 signee Isla McDonald-O'Brien as part of a talented 2024-25 roster under the direction of Head Coach Missy Farr-Kaye and Assistant Coach Mikayla Tatman.

QUOTABLES
"This group is smart enough to learn from missing the Top-15 cut by one stroke," Coach Farr-Kaye remarked after the round. "I just know they are going to come back with a little bit of a chip on their shoulder. A mentality that they are not only going to make the cut, but also finish in the top eight next year."
"Ashley has done such a fantastic job being a leader for us over the past two years," Coach Farr-Kaye reflected. "It was so great to see her finish one-under today and a chip-in for birdie on her last collegiate shot. You can't write a better story than that. We will miss her."
"It was critical to be able to be here the first year of a new three-year cycle," Coach Farr-Kaye referenced in regards to the NCAA Championship being hosted in Carlsbad from 2024-26. "The amount we learned these last five days is fantastic. This is no longer a place we don't know. Omni La Costa and the University of Texas have been a great host. We can't wait to be back."
"It was super special to be able to chip in on the final hole," Ashley Menne mentioned. "It was a nice way to finish it off. To be able to be supported by my teammates and coaches all day has been great. It was a fun last round."
"I am satisfied with my results," Menne added in reference to her Top-20 finish. "My golf has come a long way since coming to Arizona State and I am excited for the future."
"Being a Sun Devil has been amazing," Menne reflected. "I have loved every single year of being here with my coaches. Reflecting back, I am grateful to be a Sun Devil and I'll still be around the program. I am going to be a Sun Devil for Life."
