ITHACA, N.Y. – Sun Devil Gymnastics saw its largest number of WCGA Scholastic All-Americans in program history with 16 and ranked first in the Pac-12 in team GPA, 14th in the nation.

With a team GPA of 3.7105, Arizona State had 16 on the WCGA list, the sixth time in the last seven years with 10 or more earning the honor. To earn WCGA Scholastic All-America status, student-athletes must earn a 3.5 overall GPA for 2022-23.

Three seniors capped off their Sun Devil careers with their fourth scholastic All-American nod, one for each year: Juliette Boyer, Jordyn Jaslow and Izzy Redmond. Additionally, eight Gym Devils had a perfect 4.0 GPA: Cassi Barbanente, Boyer, Jaslow, Jada Mangahas, Cienna Samiley, Kimberly Smith, Alex Theodorou and Emily White

The Gym Devil squad continues to excel in the classroom. The team had 12 on the Pac-12 Winter Academic Honor Roll, which requires a cumulative grade-point average of 3.3-or-above and at least one year in residence at the institution.

Overall, 1,075 student-athletes earned a 3.5 or higher GPA on a 4.0 scale, 68.65% of all reporting gymnasts, and the 2nd most ever by total number and percentage (since 2008). There were 228 (14.56%) student-athletes with a 4.0 GPA. This was the third year in a row with more than 1,000 Scholastic All-America winners. Across all gymnasts this year, the average GPA was a 3.5685 which is the 3rd highest (since available records in 2015).
