TEMPE – Sun Devil Softball begins its final homestand of the season on Tuesday when they host in-state rival Grand Canyon. First pitch is set for 6 p.m. The concession stand will feature a Twosday Meal Combo with $2 hot dogs & soda.

ASU is 2-3 all-time against GCU with a 2-1 record oat Farrington Stadium. GCU has won the last two meetings, including a 3-0 win on February 18 in Phoenix. The last meeting in Tempe was an 8-2 win by the Sun Devils during the 2024 season.


Arizona State enters Tuesday at 31-14 record and winners of six straight. They have gone 21-10 at home with a 16-6 mark in non-conference home games. ASU is coming off a 5-0 week in which they swept a doubleheader at UTEP and earned a Big 12 sweep with three wins at Utah.


ASU ranks 48th in the country with a .314 batting average while scoring 5.27 runs per game. The team averages 1.33 doubles and 0.98 home runs per game.


Tanya Windle leads the team with 55 hits and a .382 batting average. Tiare Ho-Ching is batting .355 with a hit in 13 of the last 14 games. Ashleigh Mejia leads the Sun Devils with 12 home runs.

ASU pitchers hold a 3.05 ERA and 1.30 WHIP. The team's 7.21 strikeouts per seven innings is second in the Big 12.


Kenzie Brown is No. 2 in the country with 221 strikeouts and at 11.9 per seven innings. Meika Lauppe has a 2.61 ERA with 65 strikeouts.
