The Sun Devil Men's Basketball regular season starts in less than a month. Before the 2024-25 campaign begins, get familiar with the Arizona State roster. Head Coach Bobby Hurley has assembled a talented and deep group with an exciting mixture of returners and newcomers. - Entering his fourth year with the program, making him the longest tenured Sun Devil

- Saw action in Arizona State's win over No. 21 Washington State (2/24)
- Earned his first career start against Arizona (2/28)
- Hauled in six rebounds during the 2023-24 season while averaging 2.2 minutes per game
- Has played in at least six games in each of his first three seasons

- Walk-on from Southern California who is key piece of scout team
- Entering his fourth year with the program, making him the longest tenured Sun Devil

- Saw action in Arizona State's win over USC (1/20) and Oregon State (2/14)
- Recorded his first career assist in the victory over Grambling State in 2022

#2 Austin Nunez (Junior/Guard/Ole Miss/Garden Ridge, TX)
- Returns to Arizona State after spending last season at Ole Miss
- Made an impact as a freshman at ASU and comes back to play under Coach Hurley
- Appeared in 30 games for Ole Miss during the 2023-24 season, averaging 6.6 minutes
- Finished with 21 points, 14 rebounds and 17 assists on the season
- Dished out a season-high four assists on December 10 at UCF in just under 17 minutes of action
- Played a role in the Rebels road-victory at Texas A&M on January 27, connecting on a key corner three near the end of regulation.
- Spent his freshman season at Arizona State, appearing in 28 games with two starts

- Arizona State legacy that is returning to his father's alma mater for his final year
- Dad Alton Mason played point guard for ASU from 1998-2001

- Appeared in 61 games, making 50 starts for the Bears
- Started all 30 games last year, averaging a team-best 17.5 points and 3.6 assists in 35.2 minutes
- Added 3.0 rebounds, made 72 three pointers, and shot 78% from the free throw line during a breakout junior year
- Put together 11 games with 20+ points including 5 25+ point performances
- Scored career-high 36 points against 2024 NCAA Tournament participant Drake in a MSU victory on 1/24
- Averaged 9.9 points 2.8 assists, and 2.3 rebounds in 31 games during his sophomore season with the Bears

- Wing with unique size and superior athleticism
- Has the ability to break down the defense off the dribble, while also using his seven-foot wingspan to be a major factor around the basket
- Spent last season at USC, where he redshirted after appearing in one game
- Scored two points and made his only field goal in four minutes in a USC win over CSU Bakersfield on 11/9/23
- Marquee recruit out of high school, coming out of Christ the King High in New York City
- As a senior he averaged 12 points, 10 rebounds and 2 blocks per game and was named "Mr. Basketball" in New York
- He was ranked as the No. 77 overall recruit by Rivals.com and listed as the composite No. 2 player in the state of New York by 247Sports.com
#10 BJ Freeman (Senior/Guard & Forward/UW Milwaukee/Selma, NC)
- One of the most productive available transfers on the market
- Contributed in many facets of the game over his past two season at UW Milwaukee
- Played in 59 total games, making 48 starts in a Panthers' uniform
- Averaged 19.5 points, 5.8 rebounds, and 3.5 assists in 31.3 minutes over two seasons
- Named Second Team All-Horizon League after one of the most prolific offensive seasons in school history in 2023-24
- First Panther to earn career all-league honors twice since Joah Tucker (2005-06/2004-05)
- Despite missing time due to injury, he averaged 21.1 points, 6.6 rebounds, 4.1 assists, and 1.1 steals per game
- The 21.1 points per game not only led the Horizon League, but was also the highest for a Panther since 1994-95 and third-highest in school history
- Finished 17th in the NCAA in scoring average
- Led team in scoring (21.1 ppg), rebounding (6.6 rpg), and assists (4.1 apg), the first Panther since Clay Tucker in 2001-02 to lead the way in all three categories
- In addition to leading the Horizon League in scoring, ranked fourth in free-throw percentage (.824), fifth in assists (4.1 apg), fifth in 3's made per game (2.4 pg), and eighth in rebounding (6.6 rpg)
- Became the 30th player in school history to go over the 1,000-point mark in a career, finishing with 1,151 points
- His 19.5 ppg career scoring average finishes as the highest in Milwaukee's NCAA Division I history for players that played more than one season
- Named Horizon League Player of the Week three times - a first in program history
- Recorded eight double-doubles on the season, including a stretch at the end of the season when he became the first player in school history to record four consecutive double-doubles
- Led the team in scoring on 19 occasions, finishing with 25 games of double-digit scoring, eleven 20-point outings, and four 30-point outbursts
- Netted 30 against Detroit Mercy March 5 and then 32 against Green Bay March 7 to become the first Panther with back-to-back 30-point efforts since February of 1995
- Tied the program record with 10 consecutive contests of 20-or-more points near the end of the season, with his 16 games of 20-plus points the third most in program history
- Finished with 103 points in the Horizon League postseason (4 games), establishing a new Horizon League record in the event (breaking record set in 1987)
#6 Connor Braun (Graduate/Forward/Northeastern/Tempe, AZ)
- Transfer that returns to Arizona where he spent his prep years
- Played the past two seasons at Wheaton College after starting his career at Northeastern University
- Started all 25 games for Wheaton in 2023-24, averaged 9.6 points a game and 5.3 rebounds a game
- Scored 23 points against Carroll and had 18 rebounds against Benedictine
- Appeared in 26 games during his first season with the Thunder, totaling 43 points and 32 rebounds in 2022-23
- Played in 21 games during his sophomore season at Northeastern in 2021-22
