Sun Devil Nation shatters goals during third annual “Back Your Devils Week”

TEMPE, Ariz. — Sun Devil Athletics is proud to announce the overwhelming success of the
third annual Back Your Devils Week, which rallied the Sun Devil community and far exceeded
expectations — both in dollars raised and the number of supporters who stepped up.

Thanks to the incredible generosity of Sun Devil Nation, the campaign raised more than
$300,000, exceeding its $250,000 goal by 120%. The drive also saw a record-setting 1,300+
unique gifts, a 130% increase over the original donor goal of 1,000.

“This level of support is a powerful example of what it means to Activate the Valley,” said
Vince Volpe, Associate Athletics Director. “The momentum we’re building is real—and it is
directly impacting our ability to recruit and develop student-athletes as well as provide them the
resources and facilities necessary to compete at the highest level.”

The friendly competition between teams added to the excitement:

• Sun Devil Gymnastics soared to victory in the donor count challenge, securing nearly 300
  unique gifts and showing the depth of its fanbase.
• Sun Devil Men’s Golf successfully defended its crown in the fundraising total competition,
  surpassing $20,000 in organic donations for the second straight year.
• Sun Devil Water Polo was on the board yet again, this time securing the most gifts from former
  student-athletes and winning the Darren Woodson Letterwinner Challenge.

Strategic partnerships with Arizona-based lifestyle brands State Forty Eight and Branded Bills
provided unique ways for supporters to get involved, offering limited-edition merchandise that
blended Sun Devil pride with local flair. These collaborations were instrumental in expanding
reach and engagement throughout the Valley and beyond.

Every dollar raised during Back Your Devils Week fuels the mission of Sun Devil Athletics—
supporting more than 650 student-athletes in their pursuit of excellence academically,
athletically, and personally.
