No. 1 Figueroa to lead Sun Devil Wrestling at first Big 12 Championships
The top-ranked 125-pounder Richard Figueroa will lead the Sun Devils at their first Big 12 Championships, set for March 8-9 at the BOK Center in Tulsa.
Tulsa, Okla. – Sun Devil Wrestling is set to compete at its first Big 12 Championships, sending nine to the March 8-9 conference tournament at the BOK Center in Tulsa.
Defending national champion Richard Figueroa is the man to beat in the 125-pound class, as he earned the top-ranking by the Big 12 Conference on Monday. The Sun Devils also have the No. 2 heavyweight in Cohlton Schultz and No. 6 Nicco Ruiz at 165.
The first three sessions of the tournament will be aired on ESPN+, with Sunday's final round set to broadcast on ESPNU. Live results will be made available via TrackWrestling. Placements at the conference championships will determine qualifications to the NCAA Championships in Philadelphia from March 20-22. For more information about qualifying standards, visit here.
